The Thyroid Function 2 test builds on the basic screen by adding Total Triiodothyronine (T3) and Thyroid Antibodies, giving you a more comprehensive picture of your thyroid health.
The inclusion of thyroid antibodies is particularly important for detecting autoimmune thyroid conditions such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis, which is a common cause of underactive thyroid.
